Virginia began her career in 1996 working as a shampoo assistant while still in high school. She then attended the University of Virginia where she earned a BA in Studio Art. During college, Virginia was a personal assistant to a very talented Matrix color educator and master stylist who inspired her to pursue a serious career in the beauty industry.   Virginia is now a Stylist, Colorist and Make up Artist, at Bella Boutique in Charlottesville, VA.  In addition, she has been an educator for Alterna haircare since 2005. She also works on location designing hair and make up for television, theatre and special events. She has trained extensively with Matrix color, Alterna haircare and M.A.C. cosmetics. Virginia approaches hair design as artistic expression, using the same design elements that are fundamental in fine art.
